What You’ll Do

  • Provide professional legal advice and opinions on various legal matters
  • Furnish legal opinions on the interpretation and application of laws
  • Manage and coordinate litigation for the Office of the Premier
  • Assist in the implementation of the Provincial Litigation Management Framework
  • Conduct legal research and provide updates on legislative developments
  • Draft, review, and vet legal agreements, contracts, and instruments
  • Represent the Office of the Premier in legal and intergovernmental forums
  • Promote legal compliance and sound decision-making across departments

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree or equivalent NQF level 7 qualification in law
  • Admittance as an Attorney or Advocate
  • At least 5 years of post-qualification litigation/advisory experience
  • Advanced legal research and analytical skills
  • Strong drafting skills for legal documents
  • Expertise in dispute resolution methods
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of professional integrity and ethical standards
