The Department of Education is seeking a District Director for the Vhembe West Education District, located in the vibrant city of Thohoyandou, Limpopo. What You’ll Do
- Manage and oversee the provision of integrated Basic Education services within the district.
- Coordinate curriculum management and delivery services to enhance learner support.
- Oversee examination and assessment processes across all school phases.
- Facilitate institutional management, governance, and support services for schools.
- Ensure effective communication and cooperation between the District and Circuits.
- Develop and link improvement plans for schools to national and provincial educational objectives.
- Engage with stakeholders to foster a collaborative educational environment.
What You’ll Need
- An NQF level 7 qualification recognized by SAQA.
- A relevant postgraduate qualification in education or management is advantageous.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a middle or senior managerial role.
- SMS Pre-Entry (Nyukela) Certificate upon appointment.
- Valid driver’s license (exempt for individuals with disabilities).
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Proficiency in project and financial management.
- Solid understanding of public sector regulatory frameworks and education management.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Functional literacy in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
