About the Role
The Department of Health is seeking a dedicated State Accountant in Revenue Management to join our team within the Gert Sibande District, specifically at various hospitals including Bethal, Carolina, and Ermelo. What You’ll Do
- Support patient registration and ensure accurate capturing of billing information.
- Assist with effective debt management and follow-ups to minimize outstanding payments.
- Monitor compliance with revenue management policies and procedures.
- Contribute to data quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to streamline financial processes and reporting.
What You’ll Need
- A Senior Certificate / Grade 12, along with a Diploma or Degree (NQF Level 6/7) in Finance, Financial Management, or Management Accounting as recognized by SAQA.
- Knowledge of provisioning administration, particularly in areas such as LOGIS, PPPFA, PFMA, and Treasury Regulations.
- Familiarity with Basic Accounting System (BAS) is essential.
- Proficiency in computer skills, with sound interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Strong management and supervisory skills, with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- A valid driver’s license would be an added advantage.
