What You’ll Do

  • Manage and facilitate the budgeting processes for Matikwana Hospital.
  • Compile budget estimates and align them with strategic and annual performance plans.
  • Monitor expenditure against the allocated budget to ensure financial compliance.
  • Confirm the availability of funds before procuring goods and services.
  • Supervise the work of subordinates in the expenditure management unit.
  • Prepare reports on equitable and conditional grants expenditure.
  • Coordinate responses to internal and external audit queries.
  • Ensure all processed documents comply with audit standards.
  • Provide advice on budget-related matters to Hospital Management.
  • Implement internal control measures to safeguard financial resources.

What You’ll Need

  • A Senior Certificate (Grade 12) with at least six years of relevant experience in Finance or Salary Administration, or a Diploma/Degree (NQF Level 6/7) in Finance/Public Administration/Public Management with three years of relevant experience.
  • At least three years of experience in a Chief Administration Clerk or Administrative Officer role.
  • Knowledge of the PERSAL System and the Basic Accounting System (BAS) is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of the PFMA and Treasury Regulations.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
