What You’ll Do

• Process financial transactions in accordance with ECD legislation and policies.
• Allocate and record expenditure and revenue accurately.
• Monitor financial activities for compliance with approved budgets.
• Assist in preparing annual and medium-term budgets.
• Analyze financial variances and provide recommendations to management.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure timely payments to ECD centres and manage payment documentation.
• Compile management reports for strategic decision-making.
• Maintain accurate records for audit purposes and handle audit queries effectively.
• Attend National, Provincial, and District meetings, contributing to discussions on financial management.

What You’ll Need

• NQF Level 6 qualification as recognized by SAQA; a qualification in Finance or Accounting is advantageous.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in Early Childhood Development or a related field.
• Valid driver’s license (with exceptions for people with disabilities).
• Sound knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act and Treasury Regulations.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities with strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Team-oriented mindset with a focus on quality and accountability.
