Starke Ayres: Junior Plant Breeder

Plennegy Ltd is seeking a Junior Plant Breeder to join Starke Ayres, a leading African specialist and global supplier of premium vegetable, flower, and lawn seed varieties. This position is based in Kempton Park and focuses on zucchini breeding.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct plant breeding activities specific to zucchini.
Assist in the development and selection of improved seed varieties.
Contribute to research and testing processes to enhance seed quality.
Support the breeding program under the guidance of senior breeders.
Maintain accurate records of breeding trials and results.
Collaborate with other team members to meet production and quality targets.

Requirements

Experience or interest in plant breeding, particularly in vegetable crops.
Ability to work in a research and production environment.
Based in or able to work in Kempton Park.
