What You’ll Do
- Assist with minor maintenance and repairs to hospital buildings and equipment.
- Support artisans with plumbing, carpentry, and electrical tasks.
- Help prepare work areas, tools, and materials for maintenance activities.
- Assist in the installation, assembly, and movement of equipment and components.
- Engage in preventative maintenance and minor refurbishment projects.
What You’ll Need
- Minimum educational qualification: Grade 10 (or equivalent).
- Relevant experience in general building maintenance or assisting artisans.
- Valid Code B/EB/C1 driver’s license.
- Ability to perform heavy physical labour.
- Basic technical and maintenance knowledge.
- Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
- Good communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements
Minimum educational qualification: Grade 10 (or equivalent).Experience: Appropriate experience in general building maintenance, minor repairs and/or assisting Artisans with maintenance activities in a building, institutional or similar environment.
Inherent requirements of the job: Valid Code B/EB/C1 driver’s licence.
Ability to perform heavy physical labour.
Available to perform standby and overtime duties.

Ability to perform minor maintenance and repair work and safely use hand and power tools.

Job Duties
Perform minor maintenance and repairs to hospital buildings, infrastructure, fixtures, fittings and equipment.Assist with plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, glazing, mechanical and general building maintenance activities.
Assist Artisans with repairs, installations, alterations, preventative maintenance and minor infrastructure improvement and refurbishment projects.
Prepare work areas, tools, equipment and materials and assist with dismantling, installation, assembly and movement of equipment and components.
