About the Role
The Department of Health is seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse (Neonatal) for the Ladysmith Regional Hospital, located in the vibrant town of Ladysmith, KwaZulu-Natal. What You’ll Do
- Provide compassionate nursing care to newborn patients under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.
- Uphold infection control and health safety standards in all nursing practices.
- Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring confidentiality.
- Foster collaborative relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders to improve patient care.
- Advocate for patients’ rights and promote adherence to Batho Pele principles.
- Manage the safe and efficient functioning of the Human Milk Bank.
What You’ll Need
- A Senior Certificate (Matric) or equivalent.
- An Enrolled Nursing Certificate and current registration with SANC as an Enrolled Nurse.
- Understanding of nursing care processes, relevant legal frameworks, and ethical standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of the Patient Rights Charter and Batho Pele Principles.
