What You’ll Do

  • Deliver clinical nursing practice in accordance with established nursing standards and scope of practice.
  • Utilize resources effectively to ensure optimal patient care and hospital operations.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and statistics for evaluation and planning purposes.
  • Identify financial needs and assist in controlling expenditure for more efficient resource management.
  • Create and uphold safe therapeutic environments as mandated by relevant health regulations.
  • Participate in clinical audits to uphold the quality of nursing care.
  • Advocate for patient rights and promote proper treatment and care in line with Batho Pele principles.

What You’ll Need

  • Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse with Midwifery.
  • A Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
  • For Grade 1 applicants: No prior experience required.
  • For Grade 2 applicants: A minimum of 10 years of relevant nursing experience post-registration.
  • For Grade 3 applicants: A minimum of 20 years of relevant nursing experience post-registration.
  • Knowledge of nursing care processes, relevant legal frameworks, and health regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Basic computer literacy and report writing skills.
