What You’ll Do

• Assist in the dispensing of medicines and pharmaceutical services under pharmacist supervision.
• Receive, store, issue, and control pharmaceutical stock, ensuring proper stock levels are maintained.
• Aid in the packing and distribution of medications to various wards, clinics, and departments.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with Good Pharmacy Practice.
• Participate in quality improvement programs and medicine management initiatives.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of pharmacy and storage areas.
• Provide medicine information to healthcare professionals and patients as needed.
• Perform any additional duties as delegated by the Pharmacy Manager or supervising pharmacist.

What You’ll Need

• Grade 12 (Senior Certificate) or equivalent qualification.
• Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) as a Pharmacist Assistant (Post Basic).
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Pharmacist Assistant (Post Basic) for Grade 2 applicants, and a minimum of 13 years for Grade 3 applicants.
• Knowledge of the Pharmacy Act, Good Pharmacy Practice, and pharmaceutical legislation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork.
• Computer literacy and the ability to work independently under pressure.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
