What You’ll Do

• Coordinate the establishment and support of sports and recreation structures in schools and local areas.
• Develop and maintain clubs and structures to enhance participation in sports.
• Implement programs that foster relationships between various stakeholders in sport and recreation.
• Provide support services to provincial sport academies and federations.
• Facilitate capacity-building programs to enhance skills in sports coaching and management.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sports education and training activities.
• Administer coach education across various sporting codes.
• Plan and coordinate community sports events and mass participation programs.
• Promote health and fitness initiatives within the community.
• Collect and analyze data related to sports and recreation activities.

What You’ll Need

• National Senior Certificate plus a three-year Degree/Diploma in Sport Management, Sport Administration, Human Movement Studies, or related fields.
• 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in a sport and recreation environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of financial administration.
• A valid driving license is required.
