What You’ll Do

  • Promote and coordinate the development and sustainability of sport clubs and community-based structures.
  • Facilitate the establishment and registration of sport clubs, ensuring compliance with governance and federation requirements.
  • Implement sport development programs, leagues, and tournaments to increase community participation in sports.
  • Create an enabling environment for sporting talent identification and nurture capacity-building programs for club personnel.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with relevant stakeholders to ensure integrated planning and implementation of sport initiatives.
  • Coordinate sport events and projects, collect and analyze participation data, and prepare performance reports.
  • Provide administrative and technical support for sport facilities, infrastructure, and equipment management.
  • Assist in monitoring and reporting of funded sport projects to ensure compliance with financial and governance standards.

What You’ll Need

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree (NQF level 06/07) in Sport Management or a related field recognized by SAQA.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a sporting environment.
  • Valid driver’s license (except for persons with disabilities).
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including project planning and report writing.
  • Good problem-solving abilities and interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Proficient in computer skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
