What You’ll Do
- Conduct thorough security investigations and report any incidents.
- Implement measures to protect the judiciary, court users, officials, and assets.
- Liaise with law enforcement and security stakeholders regarding investigations and security breaches.
- Coordinate security arrangements for official events and high-profile court proceedings.
- Identify and assess security risks, conducting threat and risk assessments.
- Ensure effective provision of security services, including monitoring alarm systems and investigating incidents.
- Administer control room operations, including access control and CCTV monitoring.
- Supervise security personnel, managing performance, training, and compliance with safety standards.
- Ensure adherence to departmental security policies and procedures by security staff.
What You’ll Need
- A three-year National Diploma in Security or equivalent qualification at NQF level 6 with 360 credits as recognized by SAQA.
- A minimum of three years of experience, with at least two years at a Security Supervisor level.
- A valid driver’s license and a valid Grade ‘A’ Private Security Industry Regulations Authority (PSIRA) accredited certificate.
- Knowledge of relevant security legislation and procedures, including emergency protocols.
- Strong communication, numerical, organizational, and supervisory skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating integrity and professionalism.
