What You’ll Do
- Provide secretarial and general administrative support to the manager
- Maintain a professional relationship with stakeholders and serve as the first point of contact for visitors
- Organise and manage the office’s environment, ensuring it is tidy and professional
- Handle incoming and outgoing calls, taking messages and directing them to the appropriate parties
- Manage and coordinate the manager’s diary, scheduling appointments and meetings
- Facilitate logistical arrangements for meetings, workshops, and travel itineraries
- Maintain a document management system, ensuring documents are filed accurately, both electronically and manually
- Quality assure submissions and reports, assisting with the consolidation of reports for the Directorate
- Provide secretariat support during meetings, including drafting minutes and following up on action items
- Perform other related duties as delegated by the manager
What You’ll Need
- Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification
- Understanding of the public sector operations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Good telephone etiquette and computer literacy (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook)
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, and manage a high workload under pressure
- General office management skills and a willingness to learn quickly
- Strong planning and organisational skills, with attention to detail
