What You’ll Do

  • Develop and implement local crime prevention initiatives in line with the CPI.
  • Analyze crime trends and community insecurities to create effective strategies.
  • Organize and participate in community prosecution events and meetings locally, provincially, and nationally.
  • Build partnerships with stakeholders for effective crime prevention initiatives.
  • Provide education about the law to targeted groups within the community.
  • Promote collaboration and interaction among stakeholders to enhance community justice.
  • Monitor and evaluate statistical data related to crime prevention initiatives.
  • Submit reports on the progress of initiatives to both the DPP and the National Coordinator.
  • Perform prosecutorial duties including managing dockets and court cases when required.

What You’ll Need

  • An LLB or appropriate legal qualification for serving prosecutors.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of post-qualification litigation experience.
  • Strong competency in independent and professional action, accountability, and credibility.
  • Knowledge of legislation relevant to public service and criminal law.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Project management and administrative skills.
  • Ability to travel in the DPP-division and nationally.
  • Valid driver’s license and positive security clearance.
