What You’ll Do
- Conduct occupational inspections to ensure compliance with all relevant labour legislation.
- Investigate reported cases of contraventions of labour laws and enforce compliance where necessary.
- Perform proactive Blitz inspections to monitor adherence to labour legislation.
- Engage in advocacy campaigns to raise awareness of identified and allocated labour issues.
- Assist in drafting inspection plans, reports, and compiling statistics on allocated cases.
What You’ll Need
- A relevant qualification in Labour Relations, BCOM Law, or LLB (3 years required).
- A valid driver’s licence.
- Knowledge of departmental policies, the Skills Development Act, Labour Relations Act, and other relevant legislation.
- Strong facilitation, planning, and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in computing, including spreadsheets, PowerPoint, and word processing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong analytical and interpersonal abilities.
