What You’ll Do

  • Develop local crime prevention initiatives aligned with the Community Prosecution Initiative.
  • Analyze crime trends and community insecurities to inform strategies.
  • Organize and participate in community prosecution events and meetings at various levels.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships to enhance crime prevention efforts.
  • Provide education about the law to targeted community groups.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of initiatives and submit reports to management.
  • Perform prosecutorial duties when required, including case management and court representation.

What You’ll Need

  • An LLB or appropriate legal qualification for serving prosecutors seeking promotion.
  • At least eight years of post-qualification litigation experience.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Constitution and Criminal Procedure Act.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proven ability to manage people and projects effectively.
  • Valid driver’s license and positive security clearance are essential.
