About the Role
Buffalo City TVET College is seeking a Senior Provisioning Officer to enhance its procurement and supply chain management processes. What You’ll Do
- Develop, review, and implement supply chain management (SCM) policies in compliance with relevant legislation.
- Oversee the procurement of goods and services necessary for the college’s operations.
- Manage the administration of demand and acquisition processes, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain an up-to-date database of service providers to facilitate procurement activities.
- Conduct analysis and planning of procurement requirements, contributing to the annual procurement report.
- Ensure effective record-keeping and reporting for SCM activities.
- Oversee the management of college assets and resources, ensuring optimal utilization.
- Supervise staff within the SCM unit, fostering a collaborative work environment.
What You’ll Need
- Grade 12 / Matric / Level 4 Certificate.
- Appropriate National Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, or a relevant NQF6 qualification.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Finance.
- Proficiency in advanced MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- In-depth knowledge of SCM legislation and policies applicable to government procurement.
- Strong operational management skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- A valid driver’s license and advanced technical understanding of GRAAP standards, PFMA, and Treasury Regulations on Asset Management.
