What You’ll Do

  • Receive and process requisitions for goods and services, ensuring all relevant documentation is attached.
  • Maintain a register of all requisitions received and distribute according to Supply Chain Delegations of Authority.
  • Assist end users in developing specifications and completing requisitions accurately.
  • Source suppliers from the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and ensure adherence to demand and acquisition management principles.
  • Coordinate briefing sessions and monitor the publication of terms of reference/specifications for Requests for Quotations (RFQs).
  • Conduct evaluations for RFQs and prepare management reports, statistics, and procurement insights.
  • Supervise staff and ensure compliance with procurement policies and guidelines.

What You’ll Need

  • A recognized three-year Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing Management, Public Management, Public Administration, Business Management, Logistics Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Demand and Acquisition Management.
  • Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (PPPFA), and Supply Chain Management guidelines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and capability to interact effectively with stakeholders at various levels.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and possess analytical and organizational skills.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
