What You’ll Do
- Supervise and implement the processing of investigations and records for clients in the unit.
- Ensure compliance with procedures related to investigations and records management.
- Prepare and manage files received from the front office, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Address technical issues faced by employees and escalate complex matters as needed.
- Monitor service-level agreements between the front office and the unit, taking corrective actions when necessary.
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure efficient service delivery and quality outcomes.
- Facilitate the filing and disposal of undelivered or incomplete identity documents.
- Manage the ongoing in and out flow of records within the unit.
- Coach and guide staff on best practices and regulatory compliance.
- Implement effective risk and compliance measures to prevent corruption and non-financial losses.
What You’ll Need
- An undergraduate qualification in Public Management, Administration, or Operations Management at NQF level 6 as recognized by SAQA.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience at a supervisory level in Civic Services or Customer Service.
- Basic knowledge of Public Service Regulations and Departmental Legislation.
- Understanding of the verification process and Human Resource Regulatory Framework.
- Willingness to travel and work extended hours as required.
- Strong skills in service delivery, client relations, conflict resolution, and problem-solving.
- Excellent communication, planning, organizing, and analytical skills.
- Basic computer literacy and image editing skills.
