What You’ll Do

  • Accurately record emergency information to maintain data integrity.
  • Alert supervisors about recurrent or critical incidents that require immediate attention.
  • Mobilize and control the deployment of emergency vehicle resources.
  • Provide training and supervision to Emergency Communications students during their elective.
  • Implement medical dispatch protocols and manage major incidents as per established plans.
  • Coordinate with other emergency services such as Traffic, Fire, SAPS, and Disaster Management.
  • Manage caller anxiety and stress, providing critical life-saving telephonic interventions.

What You’ll Need

  • A Senior Certificate (Grade 12 or equivalent).
  • Relevant experience in an Emergency or Medical Call Centre.
  • Ability to work shifts as per roster requirements.
  • Basic knowledge of the topographical layout of the Western Cape.
  • Strong listening skills, organizational abilities, and prioritization skills.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy, particularly with MS Office.
