What You’ll Do

  • Supervise and lead the personnel benefits team, ensuring high levels of performance and morale.
  • Process service exits, early retirements, and pension applications with precision and care.
  • Provide guidance and support to various institutions regarding employee benefits and HR practices.
  • Manage the administration of leave, PILIR (Policy on Incapacity Leave and Ill-health Retirement), and incapacity matters.
  • Administer applications for overseas trips and approvals for foreign health workers.
  • Oversee the payment of allowances and conditions of service for Primary Health Care employees.
  • Structure and implement MMS packages on the PERSAL system effectively.

What You’ll Need

  • A minimum educational qualification of a Senior Certificate or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience in Human Resource Management.
  • A valid driver’s license (Code B/EB) and a willingness to travel within the Western Cape.
  • Strong communication and advanced interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Advanced leadership and management capabilities to guide your team effectively.
