What You’ll Do

  • Provide administrative and secretariat services for the Oceans Economy programme and its various subprograms.
  • Schedule and convene stakeholder meetings, compile meeting reports, and develop action plans.
  • Render chief user services and manage procurement processes for goods and services, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Offer logistical support for meetings, workshops, and events, both domestically and internationally.
  • Manage travel arrangements, subsistence allowances, travel advances, and claims for officials.
  • Compile and monitor budget spreadsheets, recording and reporting on budget expenditures.
  • Maintain inventory records and track the movement of assets within the Chief Directorate.

What You’ll Need

  • National Diploma (NQF6) in Public Management, Office Management, or a relevant qualification.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an office environment.
  • Knowledge of administrative procedures, financial management, and public service processes.
  • Proficiency in Logis, BAS, and financial procedures.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure and handle conflicts effectively.
