What You’ll Do
- Provide general clerical support services within the Office of the Director-General.
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, recording and distributing it efficiently.
- Welcome visitors and offer basic administrative assistance as needed.
- Coordinate enquiries from internal and external stakeholders to the Office of the Director-General.
- Maintain accurate filing systems and ensure the safekeeping of important documents.
- Oversee office supplies, ensuring that stationery is readily available.
- Capture data and update administrative records and databases effectively.
- Provide registry and document tracking support as required.
- Assist with the preparation, photocopying, scanning, and distribution of documents.
- Support the organisation of interviews, workshops, and departmental events.
- Assist with travel and accommodation arrangements when necessary.
- Collaborate on projects, including the Basic Education Sector Lekgotla and engagements with provinces.
- Arrange meetings and manage logistical requirements as needed.
- Handle telephone enquiries and direct calls appropriately.
- Ensure compliance with administrative procedures and maintain accurate record-keeping.
What You’ll Need
- A Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Knowledge of E-Submission and Director-General Memos.
- A good understanding of Parliamentary Questions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in report writing and problem solving.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Basic presentation skills and a valid driver’s license.
