About the Role
The Department of Employment and Labour is excited to announce a recruitment drive for the position of Security Officer, with multiple posts available across North West, including cities such as Brits, Mafikeng, Rustenburg, Lichtenburg, Klerksdorp, Taung, Mogwase, and Potchefstroom. What You’ll Do
- Control access to the Labour Centre and Provincial Office to ensure safety and security.
- Conduct regular security patrols to monitor the premises and safeguard employees and clients.
- Secure the flow of information and assets within the Labour Centre and Provincial Office.
- Enforce security rules and regulations, conducting internal investigations as necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a cohesive security strategy.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12/Senior Certificate is essential.
- A Grade C Security Certificate (PSIRA) is required.
- At least twelve months of security experience.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Access to Public Premises and Vehicles Act and Batho Pele Principles.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good interpersonal relations and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic computer literacy and analytical skills.
