What You’ll Do

  • Provide essential secretarial support functions in the relevant office.
  • Type reports, letters, and memoranda while monitoring document flow.
  • Manage the diary of the Head of the office, coordinating internal and external engagements.
  • Arrange travel logistics, including accommodation and claims.
  • Maintain and organise an updated filing system for the office.
  • Distribute correspondence to relevant stakeholders, keeping a register of all incoming and outgoing posts.
  • Handle routine correspondence and manage emails and faxes promptly.
  • Answer and make calls on behalf of the Head of the office, taking messages professionally.
  • Provide support during meetings and workshops involving the office.
  • Manage confidential documents with discretion and professionalism.

What You’ll Need

  • Demonstrated competency in the core functions of the role.
  • Proficiency in English and one other official language.
  • Citizenship of South Africa, with documentation to be provided during the interview.
  • Grade 12 / Senior Certificate / NCV Level 4 or an equivalent qualification (NQF level 4 as recognized by SAQA).
  • Relevant courses in the field will be considered an advantage.
  • General computer literacy skills, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication, planning, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure while maintaining professionalism.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused attitude.
