What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement methodologies, systems, and procedures for agricultural practices.
- Identify and consolidate needs for methodologies and compliance regulations.
- Conduct training workshops to address gaps and promote knowledge transfer.
- Monitor and evaluate program performance and perform scientific analyses.
- Create technical reports and provide scientific data and advice to stakeholders.
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders to foster public awareness of the science system.
- Conduct research and development to stay updated with new technologies.
- Mentor and train candidate scientists to promote skills and knowledge transfer.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 Certificate and a 4-year BSc (Honours) in Agriculture with a focus on Soil Science.
- Compulsory registration with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP) as a Professional Natural Scientist.
- A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification regulatory experience.
- Expertise in the interpretation of relevant agricultural acts and regulations.
- Strong programme and project management skills, along with high-level analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and technical report writing.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work under pressure.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.
