What You’ll Do

• Develop and implement methodologies, systems, and procedures for agricultural practices.
• Identify and consolidate needs for methodologies and compliance regulations.
• Conduct training workshops to address gaps and promote knowledge transfer.
• Monitor and evaluate program performance and perform scientific analyses.
• Create technical reports and provide scientific data and advice to stakeholders.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders to foster public awareness of the science system.
• Conduct research and development to stay updated with new technologies.
• Mentor and train candidate scientists to promote skills and knowledge transfer.

What You’ll Need

• A Grade 12 Certificate and a 4-year BSc (Honours) in Agriculture with a focus on Soil Science.
• Compulsory registration with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP) as a Professional Natural Scientist.
• A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification regulatory experience.
• Expertise in the interpretation of relevant agricultural acts and regulations.
• Strong programme and project management skills, along with high-level analytical skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and technical report writing.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work under pressure.
• A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.
