What You’ll Do
- Manage operations to achieve planned outcomes and objectives.
- Provide counter services at the registry and assist clients with their inquiries.
- Handle all telephonic and other inquiries received by the department.
- Receive, register, and manage hand-delivered mail and files.
- Sort, register, and dispatch incoming and outgoing correspondence.
- Distribute notices and updates on registry issues effectively.
- Render an efficient filing and record management service.
- Open and close files according to the established record classification system.
- Conduct electronic and manual tracing and retrieval of documents and files.
- Operate office machines in relation to registry functions.
- Process documents for archiving and disposal, including electronic scanning of files.
- Compile lists of documents for archiving and submit them to the supervisor.
- Maintain accurate records for archived documents.
What You’ll Need
- A minimum of a Grade 12 Certificate.
- Knowledge of registry duties and practices, with the ability to capture data and operate a computer.
- Understanding of the legislative framework governing the Public Service.
- Familiarity with storage and retrieval procedures in a registry environment.
- Strong planning and organization skills.
- Proficiency in computer literacy, with good verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal relations and the ability to work effectively within a team.
