What You’ll Do

  • Study case dockets thoroughly to prepare for criminal proceedings
  • Decide on the institution of and conduct criminal prosecutions
  • Draft charge sheets and related legal documents
  • Represent the State in all courts, addressing matters of conviction and sentencing
  • Lead and cross-examine witnesses during trials
  • Manage general administrative duties within the office
  • Promote community involvement and partner integration in the criminal justice system

What You’ll Need

  • An LLB degree or an appropriate legal qualification for serving prosecutors
  • A minimum of four (4) years of post-qualification legal experience
  • Proven ability to act independently and professionally
  • Strong competency in prosecuting cases and guiding investigations
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and presentation skills
  • Good project management abilities
  • A valid driver’s license
