What You’ll Do

  • Facilitate and coordinate the establishment of recreation structures at district, ward, and local levels.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to enhance recreational development initiatives.
  • Coordinate and monitor departmental programme activities for effective implementation.
  • Render project management and administrative functions to support implemented programmes.
  • Collect, compile, and update data related to programme activities from ward to district levels.
  • Supervise staff and ensure the effective utilization of resources within the programmes.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 certificate plus a Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma (NQF 6) in Sport Management/Science or a relevant qualification.
  • A minimum of one year of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • A valid Code 8 driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislative frameworks, departmental policies, and project management principles.
  • Strong skills in stakeholder relations, coaching, facilitation, and analytical methods.
  • Proficiency in computer operations, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with good interpersonal relations.
