What You’ll Do
- Facilitate and coordinate the formation of recreation structures at district, ward, and local levels.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to enhance recreational opportunities.
- Monitor and implement departmental policies throughout various programs.
- Manage project and administrative functions related to recreation initiatives.
- Oversee the collection, compilation, and updating of data for all program activities.
- Utilize resources effectively while supervising staff involved in recreation projects.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 certificate plus a Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma (NQF 6) in Sport Management/Science or a relevant qualification.
- At least one year of relevant experience in a related field.
- A valid Code 8 driver’s license.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, departmental policies, and service delivery frameworks.
- Strong skills in stakeholder relations, project management, and report writing.
- Proficiency in office automation and computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
