What You’ll Do

  • Maintain and develop the facility garden, ensuring it is well-kept and vibrant.
  • Clean and upkeep the surroundings, including pathways, parking lots, and gutters.
  • Prepare soil for planting and maintain trees, flowers, shrubs, and grass.
  • Remove weeds and manage the overall health of garden beds.
  • Water gardens and assist in the planting of new trees and plants.
  • Move furniture and other items as needed to support various functions.
  • Operate and care for garden machinery and equipment.
  • Follow safety regulations and guidelines while performing tasks.
  • Execute additional duties as delegated by your supervisor.

What You’ll Need

  • An ABET Level 4 qualification or NQF Level 1 to 3.
  • A physically strong and healthy disposition, capable of handling the demands of outdoor work.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
  • Preferable experience in gardening or a formal cleaning environment.
  • Willingness to rotate to different areas as required.
