What You’ll Do

• Provide strategic leadership to the Chief Directorate and its various programmes.
• Oversee compliance monitoring and enforcement services related to environmental legislation.
• Manage resources effectively, including human, financial, and physical assets.
• Ensure compliance with the National Environmental Management Biodiversity Act (NEMBA) and other relevant regulations.
• Foster collaboration with stakeholders to promote adherence to environmental laws.
• Lead and develop teams to enhance their performance and alignment with departmental goals.

What You’ll Need

• Matric and an undergraduate qualification in Law, Environmental Law, Natural Science, or a relevant field (NQF level 7).
• A minimum of five years’ experience in a senior managerial role within the compliance and monitoring sector.
• In-depth knowledge of Environmental Management and relevant legislation.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and relationship management skills.
• A valid driver’s license.
