What You’ll Do
- Maintain and develop the facility garden, including planting and caring for trees, flowers, shrubs, and grass.
- Clean the surrounding areas and ensure pathways, parking lots, and gutters are tidy and functional.
- Prepare soil for planting and remove weeds to promote healthy garden growth.
- Water the gardens and handle the maintenance of garden machinery and equipment.
- Move furniture as needed and help with the removal and collection of assets from various areas.
- Adhere to safety regulations while performing all tasks and assist in any other duties as delegated by the supervisor.
What You’ll Need
- ABET level 4 or NQF level 1 to 3 is required, with no prior experience necessary.
- A strong, healthy physique capable of coping with physical demands and varying weather conditions.
- Preferably some experience in gardening or a formal cleaning environment.
- Ability to work well in a team and under pressure, with a willingness to rotate to different areas as needed.
