What You’ll Do
- Render holistic and quality specialized nursing care as per established standards.
- Maintain a safe and hygienic environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Ensure compliance with all regulated norms and standards in nursing practice.
- Manage resources effectively and efficiently to optimize care delivery.
- Participate in quality improvement projects and quality circles for better patient outcomes.
- Display competency in emergency procedures, including resuscitation.
- Promote ethics and professionalism within the work environment.
- Assist in supervising and developing nursing staff as needed.
- Engage in hospital-wide programs and initiatives to enhance patient care.
What You’ll Need
- Grade 12/Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Basic R425 qualification in nursing or equivalent allowing registration with the South African Nursing Council.
- Current SANC registration as a Professional Nurse and Midwife.
- One (1) year post-basic qualification in Paediatric Nursing Science accredited by SANC.
- A minimum of four years of appropriate post-registration experience in General Nursing.
- In-depth knowledge of nursing legislation and ethical practices.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
