What You’ll Do

• Render holistic and quality specialized nursing care as per established standards.
• Maintain a safe and hygienic environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
• Ensure compliance with all regulated norms and standards in nursing practice.
• Manage resources effectively and efficiently to optimize care delivery.
• Participate in quality improvement projects and quality circles for better patient outcomes.
• Display competency in emergency procedures, including resuscitation.
• Promote ethics and professionalism within the work environment.
• Assist in supervising and developing nursing staff as needed.
• Engage in hospital-wide programs and initiatives to enhance patient care.

What You’ll Need

• Grade 12/Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Basic R425 qualification in nursing or equivalent allowing registration with the South African Nursing Council.
• Current SANC registration as a Professional Nurse and Midwife.
• One (1) year post-basic qualification in Paediatric Nursing Science accredited by SANC.
• A minimum of four years of appropriate post-registration experience in General Nursing.
• In-depth knowledge of nursing legislation and ethical practices.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
