What You’ll Do

• Oversee the provision and delivery of psychological services within the department.
• Develop and manage therapeutic and counselling programs for offenders.
• Ensure alignment and compliance with departmental policies and applicable legislation for social work services.
• Coordinate the provision and delivery of spiritual care services, including program design and development.
• Manage performance information, human resources, finances, and assets to support departmental goals.

What You’ll Need

• An undergraduate qualification (NQF level 7) in Behavioural Sciences/Social Sciences or equivalent.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience at a Senior Managerial level in a similar environment.
• Certificate for entry into the Senior Management Services (SMS) from the National School of Government (NSG) is required prior to appointment.
• Security clearance and a valid driver’s licence.
• Strong understanding of public service policies and relevant legislation related to the Justice Cluster.
