What You’ll Do

  • Provide holistic nursing care to patients in the maternity unit, ensuring adherence to established standards.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to manage human and financial resources effectively.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating training programs and research initiatives.
  • Organize cost-effective daily services while supporting supervisors and management in operational tasks.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant health legislation and policies in clinical practice.

What You’ll Need

  • A Basic R425 qualification (diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent that allows registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse.
  • A post-basic qualification in Advanced Midwifery and Neonatal Nursing Science or a 4-year bachelor’s degree in nursing.
  • Grade 1: A minimum of 4 years’ experience in nursing after registration with SANC.
  • Grade 2: A minimum of 14 years’ experience with 10 years in the specific specialty after obtaining the required qualifications.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays, and assist in other nursing units as needed.
