What You’ll Do
- Deliver comprehensive specialized nursing care within legal and professional frameworks.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to provide holistic healthcare solutions.
- Maintain accurate documentation and care planning for patients.
- Engage in health education initiatives to empower patients and families.
- Participate in clinical practice development and educational activities.
- Contribute to research efforts within the nursing division.
- Ensure effective use of human and financial resources to enhance service delivery.
- Support the Nursing Supervisor and contribute to the overall nursing division.
What You’ll Need
- Basic R425 qualification or equivalent that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
- Post-basic qualification in Medical and Surgical Nursing Science: Orthopaedic Nursing, or a 4-year bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- Registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse.
- For Grade 1: Minimum of 4 years of experience in nursing after registration.
- For Grade 2: Minimum of 14 years of experience, including 10 years post-basic qualification experience.
- Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- Strong understanding of nursing legislation and ethical practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
