About the Role
The Department of Health is looking for dedicated individuals to join their team as Professional Nurses Grade 1-2 (Nephrology) at Rob Ferreira Hospital in Mbombela, and other locations including Witbank Hospital and Ermelo Hospital in the Mpumalanga region. What You’ll Do
- Provide comprehensive health care services in the Nephrology Unit, ensuring quality patient care.
- Implement and supervise patient care standards according to established protocols.
- Manage resources effectively and ensure that all equipment is functional and ready for use.
- Participate in quality improvement programs aimed at enhancing patient outcomes.
- Report safety incidents and challenges within the unit to ensure continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and stakeholders to foster constructive working relationships.
- Prioritize and coordinate patient management activities in accordance with nursing protocols.
- Engage in staff development and performance management initiatives.
What You’ll Need
- Senior Certificate / Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
- Basic qualification accredited with the SANC (Diploma/Degree in General Nursing).
- A post-basic nursing qualification in Nephrology Nursing Science.
- For Grade 1: Minimum of four (4) years of experience as a Professional Nurse.
- For Grade 2: Minimum of fourteen (14) years of experience as a Professional Nurse, with at least ten (10) years in the nephrology specialty.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to function independently and work collaboratively with diverse teams.
