What You’ll Do
- Provide optimal and holistic nursing care in accordance with established standards and legal frameworks.
- Advocate for patients’ needs and promote proper treatment and care.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient and equitable nursing care.
- Implement programs that enhance maternal, women, and neonatal health outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with infection prevention and control protocols and occupational health standards.
- Participate in quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing patient outcomes.
- Act as a shift leader when necessary and contribute to staff development programs.
- Engage in continuous professional development and maintain accreditation standards.
What You’ll Need
- Grade 12/Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Basic R425 qualification (diploma/degree in nursing) allowing registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse and Midwife.
- Current registration with SANC as a General Nurse, Midwife, and in Advanced Midwifery.
- A minimum of 4 years of post-registration experience as a General Nurse.
- One (1) year post-basic qualification in Midwifery and Neonatal Nursing Science.
- Strong understanding of nursing legislation and ethical practices.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritize patient care.
