What You’ll Do

• Provide optimal and holistic nursing care in accordance with established standards and legal frameworks.
• Advocate for patients’ needs and promote proper treatment and care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient and equitable nursing care.
• Implement programs that enhance maternal, women, and neonatal health outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with infection prevention and control protocols and occupational health standards.
• Participate in quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing patient outcomes.
• Act as a shift leader when necessary and contribute to staff development programs.
• Engage in continuous professional development and maintain accreditation standards.

What You’ll Need

• Grade 12/Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Basic R425 qualification (diploma/degree in nursing) allowing registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse and Midwife.
• Current registration with SANC as a General Nurse, Midwife, and in Advanced Midwifery.
• A minimum of 4 years of post-registration experience as a General Nurse.
• One (1) year post-basic qualification in Midwifery and Neonatal Nursing Science.
• Strong understanding of nursing legislation and ethical practices.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritize patient care.
