What You’ll Do

• Wheel patients to and from wards, ensuring their comfort and safety
• Transport patients to various service areas, including the operating theatre
• Collect and transport corpses to the mortuary with dignity
• Deliver equipment, stores, and documentation to wards and departments
• Collect and deliver specimens as required
• Assist in offloading patients from ambulances and private vehicles
• Clean stretchers and wheelchairs after each use
• Report faulty or broken equipment to the supervisor promptly
• Maintain accurate records for corpses received and released
• Ensure proper identification and storage of corpses in the cool room

What You’ll Need

• NQF Level 3 (Grade 10 certificate or equivalent)
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to work shifts and under pressure
• Sound knowledge of customer care principles
• A caring and respectful approach to all patients and their families
