What You’ll Do

• Wheel patients to and from their wards and various service areas, including the operating theatre.
• Transport patients to vehicles or other transportation methods safely.
• Collect and transport corpses to the mortuary with respect and dignity.
• Deliver medical equipment, supplies, and documentation to wards and departments.
• Offload patients from ambulances and private vehicles to stretchers.
• Clean and maintain stretchers and wheelchairs to ensure hygiene and safety.
• Report any faulty or broken equipment to your supervisor promptly.
• Render mortuary services by receiving and securely storing corpses.
• Keep accurate records of corpses received and released to next of kin.

What You’ll Need

• NQF Level 3 (Grade 10 certificate or equivalent).
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work shifts and under pressure.
• Sound knowledge of customer care principles.
