What You’ll Do

  • Transport patients safely to and from wards and various service areas, such as the operating theatre.
  • Assist in the offloading of patients from ambulances and private vehicles onto stretchers.
  • Collect and deliver specimens, equipment, and documentation to relevant departments.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of stretchers and wheelchairs after each use.
  • Render mortuary services, including receiving and recording corpses, and ensuring proper storage.
  • Report any faulty equipment to your supervisor promptly.
  • Maintain and clean hospital equipment to ensure operational efficiency.

What You’ll Need

  • NQF Level 3 (Grade 10 certificate or equivalent).
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to work shifts and under pressure.
  • Sound knowledge of customer care principles.
