What You’ll Do

• Wheel patients to and from wards, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Transport patients to various service areas, including operating theatres.
• Assist in the collection and transportation of corpses to the mortuary.
• Deliver equipment, stores, and documentation to appropriate departments.
• Collect and deliver specimens as required.
• Offload patients from ambulances and private vehicles to stretchers.
• Maintain cleanliness of stretchers and wheelchairs after each use.
• Report faulty or broken equipment to your supervisor promptly.
• Provide mortuary services, including recording and storing corpses correctly.
• Ensure accurate identification and record-keeping of all corpses handled.

What You’ll Need

• NQF level 3 (Grade 10 certificate or equivalent).
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work shifts and under pressure.
• Sound knowledge of customer care practices.
