What You’ll Do
- Stay informed on developments in the disability sector and relevant policy changes.
- Plan and oversee the research and development of policies related to persons with disabilities.
- Develop effective strategies and frameworks to support the implementation of disability policies.
- Manage resources within the sub-directorate to ensure effective delivery of services.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance the policy framework for persons with disabilities.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) in Social Work.
- Registration with the South African Council for Social Services Professions as a Social Worker.
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in Social Work post-registration, including 5 years in policy development within the disability sector.
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and policies, such as the Constitution of South Africa and the Public Service Act.
- Strong skills in policy development, planning, communication, and people management.
