What You’ll Do

  • Develop and promote disease management and chronic illness programs.
  • Manage mental health initiatives and psychosomatic illness support.
  • Oversee injury on duty cases and incapacity due to ill health.
  • Create and implement health education policies and guidelines.
  • Conduct awareness programs on health surveillance laws and regulations.
  • Develop toolkits for Mental Health Promotion in the workplace.
  • Measure the impact of wellness programs on workplace stress factors.
  • Promote counseling and support services for employees.
  • Develop cost-effective healthcare programs to demonstrate ROI.
  • Coordinate wellness projects and evaluate employee performance against strategic goals.

What You’ll Need

  • A National Diploma (NQF level 6) or Degree (NQF level 7) in Human Science, Psychology, or Social Sciences (Social Work).
  • Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa or the South African Council for Social Services Professions.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in an Employee Health and Wellness environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and community relations.
  • Strong analytical, research, and computer skills.
  • Familiarity with GPG and DPSA policies, relevant legislation, and Public Service Regulations.
  • Excellent communication and conflict management abilities.
