What You’ll Do

  • Conduct preliminary investigations before registering cases or files.
  • Gather, verify, and coordinate necessary information for security investigations.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding criminal cases and security matters.
  • Monitor and coordinate operational and physical security measures.
  • Maintain and safeguard confidential security files and reports.
  • Supervise the implementation of key control measures, ensuring compliance with procedures.
  • Manage resources and respond to audit queries effectively.
  • Create and maintain security registers for access control.
  • Oversee human resource matters related to security personnel, including leave management.

What You’ll Need

  • Grade 12 certificate (NQF 4) and a National Diploma (NQF 6) in Security Management/Policing or Security Risk Management.
  • Grade A PSIRA certificate.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in security services, with supervisory experience being an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Minimum Information Security Standards and relevant departmental policies.
  • Familiarity with the Financial Management for Managers and computerized ordering systems (such as LOGIS and Doctrack).
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with excellent planning and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • A valid driver’s license.
