About the Role
The Department of Education is seeking a dedicated Personnel Practitioner in Establishment Control and Human based at its Head Office in Polokwane. This role is crucial as it plays a part in ensuring that the employment of educators aligns with the Employment of Educators’ Act and the Public Service Act. By monitoring and controlling the establishment of staff, you will help shape the educational landscape in your community, ensuring that qualified educators are appropriately appointed, promoted, or terminated. As a Personnel Practitioner, your responsibilities will include managing PERSAL transactions and producing HR information reports. What You’ll Do
- Monitor and control the establishment of staff in accordance with the Employment of Educators’ Act and Public Service Act.
- Oversee PERSAL transactions related to appointments, promotions, and terminations.
- Generate and provide PERSAL reports on HR information.
- Manage queries related to PERSAL to ensure effective communication and resolution.
What You’ll Need
- NQF level 6 qualification as recognized by SAQA.
- A qualification in Human Resource Management, Development, Public Management, or Public Administration is advantageous.
- Certificate/Proof of Introductory PERSAL.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in an HRM environment or related field.
- A valid driver’s license (except for individuals with disabilities).
- Strong computer literacy, particularly in MS Excel and HR Information Systems.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder interaction.
