About the Role
The Department of Public Works and Infrastructure is seeking a dedicated Operator for their Maitland facility. What You’ll Do
- Operate and manage the digipath for efficient printing job generation.
- Ensure the composition and layout of print jobs meet required specifications.
- Archive and retrieve printing jobs effectively, maintaining a secure backup.
- Provide assistance and advice to clients regarding printing formats and finishing requirements.
- Digitally receive and check exam papers, ensuring proper sequencing.
- Destroy any damaged or spoiled question papers appropriately.
- Prepare and dispatch printed documents while ensuring compliance with security protocols.
- Monitor and report on the status of completed work and ongoing projects.
- Manage the quality of printing, ensuring it adheres to established standards.
- Assist with public access points and manage deliveries of stationery and equipment.
What You’ll Need
- Grade 10 (or equivalent) qualification.
- Certificate in Digital and Analogical Copier operation.
- Knowledge of operating digital printers, plastic wrapping devices, and industrial guillotines.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in computer literacy and numeracy.
- Understanding of cultural protocols and public relations.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
