What You’ll Do

• Plan and conduct inspections to ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and related regulations.
• Confirm registration with the Unemployment Insurance Act and the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act.
• Investigate and resolve incidents and complaints related to workplace safety.
• Conduct proactive inspections according to a scheduled plan, compiling detailed reports.
• Plan and lead advocacy campaigns to raise awareness of labour legislation.
• Contribute to the development of regional inspection plans and statistical reports on compliance cases.

What You’ll Need

• A 3-year tertiary qualification in fields such as Environmental Health, Engineering, Chemistry, or related disciplines.
• A valid driver’s license and at least two years of functional experience in inspection and enforcement of labour legislation.
• Knowledge of departmental policies, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and relevant regulations.
• Strong communication, planning, and organisational skills.
• Proficiency in computer literacy and the ability to analyze and compile reports effectively.
